Bhavna Chohan, PhD, MSc

Dr. Bhavna Chohan has over 25 years of experience with HIV/STD research. Dr. Chohan has conducted research on antiretroviral resistance in early treated HIV-infected infants and early transmitted HIV variants in HIV discordant couples. She is currently the Laboratory Director conducting research on HIV/AIDS as co-investigator for the collaborative research studies at University of Nairobi, and mentors students and junior staff. She holds a Visiting Scientist and Honorary Lecturer position at University of Nairobi, Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Virus Research at Kenya Medical Research Institute, and an Acting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Global Health at University of Washington.
